Coach Seth Carstens hosts weekly skills practices for local volleyball players: Seth’s Gym.

In coordination with the CCF Foundation, Seth’s Gym exists to keep players together and well-practiced between seasons. We teach proper footwork, approaches, digging, blocking, and court position for standard, 5-1, and 6-2 rotations.

Today
Here is what we have
- We received approval from the YMCA to invite out players that play for either the YMCA or local schools to Cave Creek.
- We can host 6–14 players per practice but require everyone to RSVP.
- We host an all-ages volleyball skills practice at Seth’s Gym, a private gym just off Lone Mountain and Cave Creek Road. Practice days rotate — check the calendar of events in the BAND app for upcoming sessions. We have amazing agility-drills equipment already!

- Schedule for practices — likely 2 practices a week
- Possibility of running some practices at the YMCA or other gyms
- Volunteer parents / coaches to help teach deeper technical technique

A note from Coach Seth
From time to time I record players so we can watch back their practice form, skills, and techniques so they can see a mirror of themselves — it offers a tool for coaching when students can’t grasp certain concepts. I also post images from the gym on the website and in the BAND app from time to time.
